From the very first music lesson to equipment for professionals, Yamaha Music Malaysia offers a variety of products and services for every phase of a musician's journey. In July, Yamaha Music Malaysia showcased all of this in their premier event, MUSICVERSE - The Ultimate Yamaha Music Experience.

Instruments and Audio Solutions for learners and pros alike
At MUSICVERSE, Yamaha Music Malaysia showcased its wide range of high quality instruments with live performances by renowned Malaysian musicians across several genres of music. Tay Cher Siang performed with the Yamaha C1X Grand Piano, demonstrating its agility with jazz, while Grace Leong showed audiences how complex classical music comes to life on the Clavinova CLP - 865 GP Digital Piano. Music arranger Ji Yong also performed on the Clavinova CLP - 845B Digital Piano.

Yamaha's variety of guitar ranges were also showcased by funk guitarist Alfa Booty on the Pacifica 612VIIFM, fingerstyle guitarist Az Samad on the SLG200N Silent Guitar, and vocalist -guitarist Sally Yiew on the Storia III.

Malaysian J-Pop band Mangekyo, funk band Bona Hop and jazz ensemble Boys That Swing also showed off a variety of Yamaha professional grade instruments with their performances such as the Montage 8MX Synthesizer, GB1K Baby Grand Piano, PSR-SX920 Arranger Workstation, DTX8K-M Electronic Drum Kit, Pacifica Standard Plus Electric Guitar, and the TRBX605FM Bass Guitar .

Introducing Young Learners to Music
The Yamaha Music Education System consists of various courses designed to engage learners in a fun-filled and enriching way so they develop a lifelong love for music. At MUSICVERSE, Yamaha Music Malaysia introduced their New Primary Course to the public. This Piano or Electone course for learners aged 3-5 builds on Yamaha's principle of timely education, tailoring lessons to align with a child's growth stage to maximise the enhancement of skills that naturally flourish at that age.

At MUSICVERSE, attendees also got a rare opportunity to hear the personal stories of several renowned Malaysian musicians:
Helen Yap, internationally acclaimed, multi-award winningsongwriter, music producer who has been instrumental in shaping the sound of some of Malaysia's top recording artistes.
JD Wong, AIM-award winning record producer, founder of Studio 21:05 and MixStream, as well as Chair of the Audio Engineering Society (Malaysia).
Az Samad, guitarist, composer and educator who has been featured on more than 22 albums across genres, authored several instructional books and performed at various international jazz festivals.
